PROFILE:
Donald is about exploiting niche opportunities.
But, not at any cost - he uses his analytical skills, forward thinking, and creative nature to provide the focus and insights that allow clients to achieve results that really matter.
Cutting across the finance and strategy functions, Donald has demonstrated his ability to help businesses bridge the gap between ambition and performance by converting complex opportunities into actionable playbooks. His work has contributed $43 million to the bottom-line through $150 million of new enterprise initiatives.
For example, he forged an $8 million annual revenue stream and captured $19 million in cost savings from a dying business by identifying and negotiating its sale to a strategic partner. In his role as the Vice President of Financial Strategy (a strategy and development executive) he teamed with Showtime’s top management to structure and secure a $30 million private placement memorandum (PPM).
Donald has demonstrated the ability to look beyond the expected and imagine what’s possible; move from behind the desk and into the trenches; and help organizations understand the environment, shape strategy, and seize bottom-line growth opportunities.
He founded the McMichael Group, LLC in 2000, with the view of helping companies improve their performance by marring their unique strategic advantages and business development tactics in more productive ways.
Donald is passionate about building solid businesses, but obsessed with learning, teaching, and bicycle riding.
